Are you saying that I have too much crap?

Existing Shed

My "new" shed

Well, we have decided to stay in our house for a little while longer. With the way the economy is right now think it makes more sense to stay put than to do anything drastic. Like many of you, we are beginning to "outgrow" our house. Billie mentioned to me several weeks ago that he needed to get another shed to put the overflow in.
That sounded like a good idea to me. I was thinking yard stuff, garage crap, etc. Well, this post is the official introduction to "MY NEW SHED." Billie got the shed, put it together, built it up so that it won't flood and told me that it was my shed to put all the holiday stuff in. So it is now full of Easter, Halloween, lots of Christmas decor, etc. At first I was like "okay," but now I really like the idea because I can get into it and get out my stuff when I want to without any help. When it was in the attic...well, you know how that is...you need a little help to get it down through the hole. So everything is mostly organized by colored tubs...gotta love those hubbies!

She's a dance, dance, dance, dancin machine!

For the little girl who thinks she may want to quit dance...here is a little video of twinkle toes in action. At the wedding in Topeka last weekend, she really had a great time on the dance floor. Cousin Grady is one of the girls soccer coach's at Washburn University and the team was there to help celebrate. Those girls had a ball taking turns with the little girls who were dancing. Check her out!

Pumpkin Decorating!

Well, here are all our pumpkins that we decorated. Notice all the marker from Alexandra's additional "decorating." She is too funny! She begged and begged to get the "gooey" out of the pumpkin we carved and then thought it was too yucky! Loved it!

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch last week. Alex had to take my Snoopy from when I was a young girl. We bought several pumpkins for the house and 9 to take and donate to Alex's class at school. We had too much fun! Only wish we had a picture of me pushing $30 worth of pumpkins in the wheelbarrow! HA!

Alex's Flower Girl Debut

Thanks Cousin Grady!!!!

Well, this last weekend we went to Topeka as Alex made her debut as a flower girl. She was beautiful! She got her hair done like the big girls and did a perfect job walking down the aisle. She brought a tear to our eyes...so sweet. Here are few pictures to enjoy! Thanks Cousin Grady and Lizzi for having Alexandra be a princess in your wedding!

A LOT to catch up on!

So it has been a while since my last post. Billie and I went to OU/TX and although we didn't win the game...we had a really good time. We met up with some friends and had several libations since we didn't have to worry about Alex. It was nice to have some alone time. Here goes the last two weeks...

A Little Catching Up to Do!

My sister Natalie, has been on me to update my blog. You know...since she has one herself! (Just kidding Nat.) Things have been a little crazy this week for some reason. Last weekend was uneventful as the OU game was out of town. Thank goodness - it takes all weekend to do a home game. I had planned to be much more productive than I was, but that happens sometimes. Most of the time I get more accomplished when I don't even have time to take a breathe.

Last weekend Alex was invited to another b-day party. I don't remember things being like this when we were younger or if it is just a Norman thing, but all the parents go to the party and stay. Well, Alex is going to have to take a break from the b-day party action. She simply can't handle it. I don't know if it is because I am there so she thinks she can be a real shit, if she is just too young or what. It stresses me out though. She is THAT KID at the party that you just want to go away. Cries and shouts "I have that at my house." You get the idea. Oh, and did I mention that this little girl had a "gift registry" for her party? A little over the top!

We also had Alex's 4 year old pictures taken on Campus. We have been using the same photographer, Angel Porch, since Alex turned 1. She is awesome and really does some fun stuff. You can check out the sneak peek at http://www.angelporchphotography.com/blog/.

I took lunch over yesterday to Donnell. Finally got to hold little Corbyn and played with Hadyn for a while too. The Hammons girls are super sweet and it was so nice to have a little down time with them. Donnell is doing a great job managing a newborn and a toddler. God Bless You!

I think I may have a dance class drop out too. I just wanted Alex to try it, so I can't be upset. She told me in the tub last night that she didn't want to go anymore. :-( She thinks it is boring. I have always known deep down that she is going to be "sporty" like dad, but I had my fingers crossed. Stay tuned on this one as I told her that we have to finish up the month since we have already paid. She may change her mind...you never know!

Billie and I are heading South tomorrow morning. A long weekend - just the two us and a million Sooners Fans! I hope we beat the hell out of Bevo!!! BOOMER SOONER! Doug and Connie are taking the girls (Alex, Pearl and Maggie) for the weekend. Billie and I can't even remember the last time we were ALL ALONE! Looking forward to it!

This week's Friday Flashback picture is posted above - OU/TX Last Year!!!

Have a good one...until next week!

Flashback Friday

Well, as many of you know. We are big OU fans at my house. I have converted Billie (although he is still a Jayhawks basketball fan.) Alexandra has been an OU Fan since the beginning, hence "Sooner Born, Sooner Bred." These photo's are of Alexandra's very first OU Football game in November 2006. I love my little Sooner fan!

My Baby is Growing Up!

Alex has all of a sudden decided that she can write her name. I love her so much! She is growing up so FAST! Check out this 3 year old signature. We are SUPER proud of her!
